Hubei Sanhuan Automotive Steering Gear Co., Ltd. was founded in 1969 and is a state-owned holding enterprise that develops and produces automotive steering gears and steering system components. It is also a leading enterprise in the Chinese automotive steering gear industry.
The company is a high-tech enterprise in Hubei Province and a recognized enterprise technology center in Hubei Province. The company has also won honors such as National Model Enterprise for Harmonious Labor Relations, Hubei Provincial Worker Pioneer, Hubei Provincial Employee (Labor Model) Innovation Studio, Hubei Provincial High skilled Talent Workstation, and Hubei Provincial Management Innovation Achievement Second Prize.
In 2014, the company developed electric steering gear products with fully independent intellectual property rights, obtained 14 national patents, won the first prize of Science and Technology Innovation of Sanhuan Group, and the Best R&D Award of Chang'an Automobile Group. It achieved a historic leap from simple machinery to mechatronics integration, and invested 280 million yuan to build the "China Electric Vehicle Steering Gear Industrialization Base". In 2017, the output value of electric products reached 160 million yuan, accounting for 31% of total revenue, Received the Outstanding Contribution Award from Chang'an Automobile Group.
Based on the commercial vehicle product technology of ThyssenKrupp in Germany, the company has successfully developed a new steel valve commercial vehicle power steering gear, with product performance parameters reaching or even surpassing the industry benchmark of similar products from ZF in Germany. Since 2016, a total of 230 million yuan has been invested to build an intelligent production base for high-end commercial vehicle steering robots. In 2017, the production and sales of commercial vehicle steering gears exceeded 400000 units, with high-end products accounting for over 50% and sales revenue exceeding 300 million yuan. The products are supported by domestic and foreign top heavy truck brands such as Oman, Northern Mercedes Benz, Shaanxi Automobile Heavy Truck, China Heavy Truck, Tata India, and Lilan India.
